Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create lesson plans following the existing curriculum
  • Follow the daily schedule, run circle time and monitor learning centers
  • Maintaining a safe and friendly classroom environment
  • Develop a cleaning routine throughout the day that keeps all of the interactive areas sanitary and safe
  • Monitor children during outdoor activities and interact with children to enhance their learning experience
  • Maintain professional communication with parents and contact parents in emergency situations
  • Serve meals and monitor children during lunch time
  • Assist with potty training, toilet procedures and diaper changing

Qualifications:

  • Meets all EEC licensing requirements for Teacher
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • CDA, Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood desirable
  • Reliable transportation
  • 12 months + of child care experience
  • Preferred CPR and First Aid certified
  • CORI, SORI and DCF background check and drug screening required
  • Willingness to continue ongoing professional development in Early Childhood
  • Caring and compassionate attitude a must
  • Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • At least 12 months of child care experience
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Caring and compassionate attitude a must
  • CORI, SORI and DCF background check and drug screening required
